Junior Cricket Rules
The Game
A team shall consist of six (6) players, with a minimum of four (4) players.Each game of indoor cricket consists of two (2) x Twelve (12) over innings.
Each over consists of seven 6 balls.
Each batting pair will bat for four (4) overs each. Each bowler will bowl two (2) overs (not to be consecutive).
Each wicket is worth minus five (-5) runs.
The team with the highest score at the end of the game will be deemed the winner.
Premiership Table
During the season a premiership ladder will be displayed on the ladder board. At the end of the season, the top four (4) sides will contest in the Division 1 finals, whilst the bottom four (4) sides will compete for the Division 2 Final.
Teams 1 and 4 will play off in the first semi final
Teams 2 and 3 will play off in the second semi final.
Teams 5 and 8, and 6 v 7 will play off in the Division 2 semi finals.
The winners of the semi finals will play off in the Grand Final.
Premiership Points
Three (3) points will be awarded to the winning side.
One (1) bonus point will be awarded for each skin won.
- A skin is the comparative scores of each batting pair. i.e. if the first batting pair of team A score 20 runs, then the first batting pair of team B require 21 runs to win the skin.
- If a skin is tied, the point will jackpot to the next pair. If the skin is tied for the final pair, then the bonus point will be awarded to the winner of the third skin.
- Maximum premiership points to be won in a match = Six (3 for win & 3 for winning all Skins)
Before each game:
# Register your team’s arrival by picking up your team member report from reception. This should be done at least 10 minutes prior to your playing time.
# Check on the game board which court your team is playing on.
#It is the captain’s responsibility to collect your team’s game fee and make payment at reception prior to your game starting time.
#You should return your player registration sheet along with your payment with all information on your players completed, including address and phone number.
